OLFACTORY WALK IN THE WOODS

Thanks to our partner, the company QUINTIS, we invite the students of the professional master’s degree in chemistry and life science, FESAPCA (Formulation, sensory evaluation and analysis of the perfume, cosmetic and food aromatic industries) of UFR des sciences in partnership with the École Supérieure du Parfum for a one-day interactive olfactory training on woody scents, “Tree fragrances & wood essences”.

This training is an initiation, it is a fascinating exploration of the woody materials of the perfumer coming from trees and plants but also synthesized.

It links disciplines such as botany, odor chemistry and extraction processes, traditional uses in perfumery and in the design of olfactory spaces.

NOSEDIVE IN THE SANDALWOOD

The second half-day will be devoted to sandalwood using a mix of multimedia and olfactory materials provided by QUINTIS

We will explore the history, botanical characteristics, production and chemistry of wood scents, creating a sensory and immersive experience for students.
