“A Thousand and One Arabian Scents”
An immersive olfactory journey with Pierre Bénard
Pierre Bénard, member of the International Society of Perfumer-Creators, expert in natural raw materials for perfumery, and olfactory artistic director at OSMOART—where scent, color, and sound converge—invites you on a captivating sensory voyage through a thousand and one Arabian fragrances.
In this immersive olfactory conference, where tradition meets perfume, Pierre Bénard will share highlights from his consultancy mission in November 2018, supporting Saudi companies in developing their scented products.
Over the course of one week, he traveled across Saudi Arabia—from Riyadh to the western cities of Jeddah, Abha, and Medina—meeting key stakeholders in various fragrance projects. Along the way, he was deeply inspired by the Asiri culture and its traditional arts.
From the majestic palaces of Oman to the mystical incense of Yemen, delve into the history and secrets of the raw materials that have shaped the soul of Oriental perfumery. Be swept away by the heady notes of oud and the delicate beauty of Taif roses, and discover how these iconic scents tell the story of the Arab world’s culture and spirit.
Because yes, the desert has a scent.
