June 2022, we support Lilouanne GAINCHE’s project for her end-of-study dissertation for the Higher Diploma in Applied Arts, in the Design of products and services mention at the Lycée Rives Gauche in Toulouse.
Met during our conference “Perfumes of trees and wood species” at the cultural center of Alban-Minville, Lilouanne told us about her subject focused on the theme of the cabin and heterotopias.
As in perfumery, there are archetypal forms in design, the cabin is one of them; repeatedly revisited, reinvented.
Through noble materials such as local woods to define the structure; of Japanese design inspirations, Lilouane imagined our hut.
A hut to contemplate our garden of scents, to educate oneself, to discuss aromatic and perfumed plants.
HETEROTOPY
Concept forged by Michel FOUCAULT who denies it as a physical location of utopia. These are concrete spaces that harbor the imagination, such as a child’s cabin or a theatre.
